BigTOE Media Productions is a kicker little company founded in Australia. It began from a seed, a collaboration between David Malikoff and Emil Wolk during the development of the performance of a narrative masterpiece based on Mark O'Connor's poem "The Planting of the Dunk Botanic Gardens". The seed has flowered and floated over the vast distances of the Australian landscape embracing both local and international artists and culminated into a show that is both beautiful and powerful - An ode to all mad gardeners and their projects, including Eden, the Universe, Dunk and more..!

The Actor
David Malikoff has the Licentiate Diploma in Speech and Drama
through Trinity College, London, and is a medical practitioner. Major
roles include Macbeth, Benedick, and Dysart from Equus. His
solo adaptation of the epic Beowulf, was described as an “extraordinary
performance” in Australian National Media.
The Director
Emil Wolk is an Olivier and Fringe First Award winning actor who has an international reputation as both a director and performer.
He has acted with both the Royal Shakespeare and Royal National Theatre Companies. Emil has performed in numerous stage and film roles including Ariel to Sir John Gielgud’s Prospero in Greenaway’s Prospero’s Books, and the bungling best friend of Jeff Goldblum in Richard Curtis’ first film: The Tall Guy. As a long-standing member and performer with the People Show and also a director of Circus Oz’s Bicentennial show Emil has experienced a wide range of the performing arts.

The Writer
Mark O’Connor is one of Australia’s foremost poets
and a highly regarded Australian environmental
writer.
Mark was the Australia Council’s Olympic poet
at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. In 1976, while funding
his way to take up a writing scholarship in Europe, Mark was
the gardener at the tourist resort on Dunk Island. www.australianpoet.com
The Artist
Since 1985, artist/illustrator Linda Martin has taught and successfully exhibited in
pastels, acrylics and watercolours.
Between 1999 and 2005, invitations to represent
Australia in India, Korea and Hawaii resulted in international awards in the field of
digital design. Linda is a member of The Botanical Art Society of Australia.

The Musician
Todd is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and plays
trumpet and flugelhorn.
He has been performing professionally for 10
years and leads the Todd Hardy Jazz Quintet. Todd has played and recorded
with leading artists in Australia and Japan, including Jimmy Barnes and
Midnight Oil and has been musical director on ABC television and
played regularly on Australian Idol in ‘06.
